Abstract
Mount Bromo is a destination for many domestic and foreign tourists, tourist attractions that are included in the Pasuruan Regency, East Java have extraordinary natural charm and charm, as well as the culture or traditions of local residents that are able to amaze and become the main attraction for tourists. Having a height of 2,329 meters above sea level, this causes the access road to Mount Bromo to have a fairly heavy terrain, uphill and winding, and has a steep cliff road. The condition of the road has become a serious concern for the government to improve the quality of infrastructure, by launching the Regional Road Grant Program (PHJD), a funding program obtained from a grant from the Australian Government through the Indonesia Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT). With the condition of the soil in the Bromo area which is rocky and steep, it is necessary to carry out structured planning and prepare all important things for the implementation of repair work, road expansion and maintenance. The most important thing in the implementation of infrastructure improvements in Bromo is to prevent landslides. The implementation of the access work to Bromo as described above is in the Kejayan-Tosari Pasuruan area and is carried out for 32 km. The implementation of the project has been running for a period of 3 years, starting from 2019 until 2021. Specifically for the implementation of the project in 2021, the road widening is carried out by 6 m which is carried out along 8.6 km, with a contract value of 21 billion, for a period of 210 calendar days starting on April 5, 2021 with PT Bhakti Tama Persada as the implementing contractor. Items of work carried out at the Kejayan-Tosari Pasuruan Road Rehabilitation Project, including routine work which is drainage cleaning and plant control as well as handling potholes and cracks on the road, BMW work which is a more intensive routine maintenance which is carried out on pending work in The long time includes cleaning of channels and/or repair of road surfaces, periodic work which is a road coating to maintain road conditions according to the age of the plan, as well as avalanche work which is landslide prevention by using retaining walls. Based on observations during practical work and achieving the expected goals of implementing road projects in the Mount Bromo area, it was decided to take the title "Construction of Soil Retaining Structures in the Kejayan-Tosari Road Rehabilitation Project (link 196)" as a practical work report.
