Abstract
Popular culture through K-Pop music is a form of cultural diplomacy that developed by South Korea. Not only by state actors such as the government but also state actors like the oldest and influential entertainment agency, SM Entertainment who take an important role in production process to spread of K-Pop culture. Especially in Indonesia, deal with the status of Special Strategic Partnership that only with South Korea, the cooperation between two countries keep continues. Through the special strategy and approach taken by SM Entertainment in Indonesia, it is able to encourage cooperation in socio-cultural field, especially on the people to people exchange point from Joint Vision Statement for Co-Prosperity and Peace agreement. The harmonious relationship between the two countries is manifested and will be focus on tourism, education as well as the promotion of arts and culture from 2017 until 2020.
