Abstract
Education is something that humans have the right to have as social individual beings to develop themselves for the better. Improving the quality of education is one of the important aspects in the lives of Muslims, including in Indonesia. Such as education for children aged 7-12 years which gets special attention to be designed as well as possible because the growth of children at this age is a golden age to form character, creativity and train memory for intellectual, social, emotional, language, norms development. , and religion. To stimulate the value of goodness in children, it can be prepared by fulfilling good educational facilities by learning general science and religious knowledge. Therefore, the establishment of schools based on religious knowledge and general knowledge learning with superior programs such as the Qur'an tahfidz school (Memorizing the Qur'an) can be realized at the elementary school level. Educational institutions for children aged 7-12 years at the elementary school (SD) level by applying the tahfidz Qur'an method have developed in Indonesia, including in the province of East Java, especially Sidoarjo Regency. However, only less than 20 elementary schools have implemented the tahfizh program of more than 3 juz in Sidoarjo Regency. Not all of these Tahfizh elementary schools have facilities and infrastructure that can be said to be complete and good. For the learning and teaching process to run well, schools must prepare school facilities and infrastructure properly. In addition, the school also provides school facilities that teach students to apply the nature of the Caliph as a leader of the earth by holding educational lessons that are side by side with nature and learning with good facilities while maintaining a balance of energy used. When the learning area is created by considering the conditions of the surrounding environment, it can create comfort in learning and teaching activities. In order to implement this goal, the design of SD Tahfizh Qur'an in Sidoarjo uses a bioclimatic architectural approach that pays more attention to the climate and the surrounding natural environment in designing.
