Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas perihal respon Uni Eropa terhadap permasalahan kasus Dieselgate yang terjadi pada tahun 2015 di Amerika Serikat. Skandal Dieselgate merupakan kasus yang menyorot salah satu perusahaan otomotif asal Jerman yang melakukan perbuatan ilegal dan ditemukan oleh Amerika Serikat. Badan Perlindungan Lingkungan Amerika Serikat (EPA) sebagai pihak pertama yang mengetahui berdasarkan uji emisi kecurangan untuk membuat kendaraan diesel menampakkan lebih sedikit polusi daripada yang sebenarnya kendaraan tersebut keluarkan. Lebih dari 590.000 mobil bermesin diesel asal Volkswagen Group telah melanggar Clean Air Act karena kendaraan tersebut dilengkapi dengan perangkat ilegal.Penelitian deskriptif ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan sebagai pengumpulan sumber data. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Analisis Respon Uni Eropa terhadap skandal Dieselgate di Amerika Serikat yang terjadi pada 2015 hingga 2019 memiliki alur yang rumit. Pembentukan komite EMIS merupakan langkah tegas Parlemen Eropa untuk menginvestigasi bagaimana skandal Dieselgate berdampak pada Uni Eropa Kata kunci: Uni Eropa, Respon, Dieselgate, Amerika Serikat, EMIS. This study discusses the European Union's response to the Dieselgate case problem that occurred in 2015 in the United States. The Dieselgate scandal is a case that highlighted one of the German automotive companies that carried out illegal acts and discovered by the United States. United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the first party to know based on the fraudulent emission test to make diesel vehicles exhibit less pollution than actual vehicles it take out. More than 590,000 diesel-engined cars from the Volkswagen Group have been violates the Clean Air Act because the vehicle is equipped with a device illegal. This descriptive research uses literature study as source collection data. The results of this study are the Analysis of the European Union's Response to the Scandal Dieselgate in the United States that occurred in 2015 to 2019 has a complicated plot. The establishment of the EMIS committee is a decisive step for the European Parliament to investigate how the Dieselgate scandal impacted the European Union Keywords: European Union, Response, Dieselgate, United States of America, EMIS.
