Abstract
Pontianak City is one of the cities in West Kalimantan Province. This city, which is located on the western tip of the island of Borneo, with an area surrounded by forests makes this city quite interesting. Dayak culture in Kalimantan is one of the cultures that still uses oral tradition in its development. The use of this traditional model has many weaknesses. With the fact that the Dayak heritage is not well maintained, such as the Kelupi, a traditional tool of the Dayak tribe that is currently going extinct, which should be one of the Dayak heritages that can be inherited and empowered to this day. Given the facts above, then this tradition which is only from oral has a tendency to be easily forgotten. However, this effort has not been sufficient because the education aspect, which is related to continuing this traditional tradition, is still minimal. Where there are many obstacles, one of which is the lack of adequate facilities as a means of education and preservation. The number of museums in West Kalimantan, especially Pontianak, there is only one museum, namely the West Kalimantan State Museum. The design of the Dayak Culture Museum uses the theme of Iconic Architecture, where iconic architecture with a tangiable metaphor approach and also has the theme "Unity in culture". The result to be achieved at the end of this design is to produce an iconic building that symbolizes the Dayak culture and becomes an educational center in exhibiting various collections of heritage from the Dayak tribe.
