Abstract
Budaya mistik masih kental khususnya di pulau jawa, kebanyakan masyarakat masih mempercayai akan adanya makhluk halus atau jin sehingga muncul tayangan yang berunsur mistik yaitu program acara “Karma” yang adegan didalamnya mengandung budaya mistik Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui budaya mistik magis yang direpresentasikan melalui program reality show “Karma” HUT ANTV ke-25 diharapkan masyarakat mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas mengenai bagaimana unsur budaya mistik magis khususnya magis hitam yang digunakan untuk melukai lawan bahkan sampai meninggal dunia. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis semiotika, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui scene�scene program reality show “Karma” HUT ANTV ke-25, yang didalamnya terdapat unsur-unsur yang merepresentasikan mengenai budaya mistik magis khususnya magis hitam. Teknik analisis data ini menggunakan teknik semiotika John Fiske yang mana peneliti melihat representasi budaya mistik magis melalui tiga level, yaitu level realitas, level representasi, level ideologi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah program reality show “Karma” HUT ANTV ke-25 merupakan program reality show yang mengandung nilai-nilai budaya mistik magis khususnya magis hitam dan direpresentasikan melalui tanda-tanda dan simbol yang terdapat pada beberapa scene pada program reality show tersebut. Kata kunci : Semiotika, Representasi, Budaya Mistik Magis, Reality Show Karma, ANTV Mystical culture is still thick especially on the island of Java, most people still believe in the existence of spirits or jinns so that the appearance of mystical elements is the program "Karma" which contains mystical culture. This study aims to find out the magical mystic culture represented by the 25th ANTV reality show "Karma" program, the public is expected to get a clear picture of how magical mystical cultural elements, especially black magic, are used to injure opponents to death. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a semiotic analysis approach, with data collection techniques through scenes of the 25th ANTV HUT reality reality program "Karma", in which there are elements that represent magical mystical culture, especially black magic. This data analysis technique uses John Fiske's semiotic technique in which researchers see the representation of magical mystical culture through three levels, namely level of reality, level of representation, level of ideology. The result of this research is the 25th reality program "Karma" HUT ANTV is a reality show program which contains magical mystical cultural values, especially black magic and represented through signs and symbols found in several scenes in the reality show program.
