Abstract
Film komedi masih menjadi salah satu genre populer di Indonesia. Salah satunya film Warkop DKI Reborn Part 1 dan part 2 yang berhasil meraih jumlah penonton terbesar di Indonesia saat ini. kedua film tersebut merupakan remake dari Warkop DKI yang juga populer pada tahun 1980an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui studi genre film komedi dalam film Warkop DKI Reborn part 1 dan 2 karya Anggy Umbara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi genre film yang menggunakan repertoire of elements yang meliputi, karakter, setting, naratif, ikonografi & style atau model dari kedua film tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ciri khas komedi yang disajikan dalam kedua film tersebut menggunakan komedi slapstick yang dimunculkan dari perilaku tokoh-tokoh pada kedua film tersebut, dan komedi verbal yang ditampilkan melalui dialog-dialog yang berupa ejekan dan sindiran terhadap kritik sosial. Kata kunci : Genre, Komedi, Slaptick, Warkop DKI Reborn Comedy is still one of the most popular genres in Indonesia. One of them is Warkop DKI Reborn Part 1 and part 2 which has won the biggest number of audience in Indonesia at this time. both films are a remake from Warkop DKI which is also popular in the 1980s. This study aims to determine the comedy film genre studies in the movie Warkop DKI Reborn part 1 and 2 created by Anggy Umbara. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research with film genre study approach which uses repertoire of elements which include, character, setting, narrative, iconography & style or model from both films. The results of this study indicate that the comedic characteristics presented in both films use slapstick comedy that is generated from the behavior of characters in both films, and verbal comedy is displayed through dialogues in the form of mockery and sarcasm against social criticism.
