Abstract

Women use makeup every day, and lipstick is one of the things they cannot live without. Also, the fast growth of technology has made it easy and quick to find information using the internet or social media. This study aims to find out how electronic word-of-mouth and advertising on social media affect people's decisions to buy Viva Cosmetics lipstick in Blitar City. In order to get information, the researcher sent out 90 questionnaires through Google Form to people in Blitar City who had bought Viva Cosmetics lipstick. In this study, the purposive sampling strategy was adopted. Partial Least Square was used to do the analysis (PLS). The results of this study show that people in Blitar City are more likely to buy Viva Cosmetics lipsticks when they hear about them online or see ads for them on social media.
