Abstract

Over time, the number of graduates from universities will increase. Competition in the world of work will also increase due to competition not only from undergraduate students, but also from Diploma level students. Undergraduate students must have good job readiness, although in terms of learning they focus more on theory while Diplomas focus more on practice. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Soft skills and Self efficacy on Job Readiness in final year students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UPN "Veteran" East Java. The population in this study were FEB 2018 students, totaling 682 students. The sampling technique used in this research is the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The number of samples used was 252 students consisting of 110 management students, 82 accounting students, and 60 development economics students. The analytical tool used in this study is the Partial Least Square (PLS) application with validity testing, reliability testing, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that soft skills were able to contribute to and support student work readiness, and self-efficacy was also able to contribute and support student work readiness.
