Abstract
This research is based on the development of business businesses in the field of logistics expeditions in the city of Surabaya. This industry has a great opportunity where Indonesia consists of 70% of the sea area, which means that there is no substitute for shipping services in large quantities other than sea transportation. One of the companies that are developing in expediting the process of activities in the shipping sector is PT. Nusantara Logistic Sejahtera with its main service, namely port to port and door to door delivery as the object of research. This study aims to analyze the company's internal and external factors, confirm the company's position and design alternative strategies for PT. Nusantara Logistics Sejahtera. The research method used is descriptive. Data collection techniques by means of in-depth interviews with the owner and employees of PT. Nusantara Logistics Sejahtera and observations. To answer the existing problems, PESTEL analysis was carried out, identification of internal and external factors with SWOT analysis and formulating alternative business development strategies to be recommended to PT. Nusantara Logistics Sejahtera. The IE (Internal-External) matrix is used to find out which cell the company is in and get alternative strategy themes in making the SWOT Matrix. After doing the above analysis, it can be seen in the SWOT Matrix diagram of PT. Nusantara Logistic Sejahtera is in quadrant III because it has coordinates of 1.50 and -0.28. This is a situation that needs to be considered by the company. in addition to the Internal-External Matrix PT. Nusantara Logistic Sejahtera is located in cell V with IFAS (Internal Factor Analysis Summary) and EFAS (External Factor Analysis Summary) coordinates of 2.54 and 2.92, respectively. From the results of the IE Matrix (Internal-External), PT. Nusantara Logistic Sejahtera is recommended to carry out a Hold and Maintain strategy. There are 11 alternative strategies resulting from strategy formulation using the SWOT matrix.
