Abstract
Increased production of curly red chili plants can be obtained by improving fertilization methods, including fertilizer placement methods and organic liquid fertilizer (OLF) application. The aim of study is to find out the best way to apply fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer concentration for the growth and yield of curly red chili. This research was conducted at the Green House of the Faculty of Agriculture of UPN "Veteran" East Java from December 2019 to April 2020. A Completely Randomized Design was arranged and replicated three times for factorial experiment consisting of two factors. Factor I: fertilizer placement methods: side dress and foliar application; and factor II OLF concentrations consisting of 0 ml / L, 5 ml / L, 10 ml / L and 15 ml / L. Results showed that the best way to apply liquid organic fertilizer was obtained by foliar application. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer affected the fruit set parameters, the fruits number per plant, the fruit weight per plant, and the weight of fruit. The application of liquid organic fertilizer 5 ml / L was efficient concentration for the growth and yield of curly red chili plants.
