Abstract
The distribution route problem experienced by CV. Sego njamoer is related to the level of demand that is not matched by the vehicle carrying capacity and separate routes. This causes high transportation costs and low levels of utility for the transportation of goods, which is 52.12245% of the maximum carrying capacity of 15 kg. This causes the need to determine the optimal distribution. The purpose of this study is to find the optimal distribution route by utilizing the vehicle's carrying capacity to minimize transportation costs. In this study, will use the saving matrix method in solving transportation problems by minimizing distance, transportation costs and increasing the utility of transportation equipment. Then the destination route is sorted using the nearest insert, farthest insert, and nearest neighbor methods. From the analysis, it was found a reduction in distribution routes from 11 to 6 routes, distance savings of 42.93% from 531.29 km to 303.2 km, and transportation cost savings of 50.994% from Rp. 9,595,579 to Rp. 4,702,320
