Abstract
NIMAS RUNEH SABILLAH SUTOPO, 1543010157, DISCUSSION ANALYSIS “ THE UU ITE INTIMIDATE FREEDOM OF OPINION?” IN THE PUBLIC SPACE OF INDONESIA LAWYERS CLUB. The study aims to analysis how UU ITE can intimidate freedom of opinion in society. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with the analytical approach of Teun Van Djik. The analysis of Van Djik’s model looks at the critical arguments during the devate on the speakers who have been selected by the author in the Indonesia Lawyers Club. The analysis was carried out according to the structure: Macro Structure, Super Structure and Micro Structure. The results of this study are that the UU ITE has become public with handcuffs on social media and the goverment is lacking in dealing with it.
