Abstract
This study aims to determine the ejfect of GDP, investment and minimum wages on employment in Medan City. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative type, which is numerical data that is processed using statistical methods. The type o[data used is secondary data in the form o[ time series data with an observation period of 2000-2020 sourced [rom the Central Statistics Agency of Medan City. The variables used are labor absorption tY), GRDP (XI), investment (X2), minimum wage (X3). In analyzing the data, a multiple linear regression model was used using eviws 9. The results showed that the Crross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) had a positive and significant effect on employment in the city of Medan based on the results o[ data analysis which showed that the prohahility value of GRDP was ñ, ññ54 ñ.ñ5 then HI is accepted. Investment has no ejfect on employment in the city of Medan hased on the results of data analysis which shows that the investment probability value is 0.1878 > 0.05, then H2 is rejected. The City Minimum Wage (UMK) has a negative and insignificant effect on employment in the city of Medan. The prohahility value of the minimum wage is 0.0162 > ñ.ñ5, so H3 is accepted.
