Abstract
The amount of waste generated by The Surabaya Community in 2020 reached 2,913.18 tons per day. Meanwhile, TPA Benowo has a capacity of 1,600 tons per day (Surabaya City Sanitation and Parks Office, 2020). One of the government's efforts to reduce waste to TPA Benowo is a community-based waste management program through Reuse, Reduce and Recycle (TPS 3R)-based waste processing namely by processing waste at 3R TPS first so that TPA Benowo will only receive waste residue. With an increasing population growth rate as happened in Wonorejo Urban Village, Surabaya City has a high population growth rate. The method used for sampling and measurement is SNI 19-3964-1994. Based on the results of sampling, the amount of waste generated in Wonorejo Urban Village is 2.94 m3/person/day. Then the average composition of organic waste that is easy to decompose, organic waste that is difficult to decompose, and inorganic waste are 44.3%, 1.3%, and 54.5%, respectively. In this plan, the waste generated at the TPS 3R is 6 m3/day according to the 2017 TPS 3R Planning Guidelines. The waste processing applied at Wonorejo's TPS 3R is inorganic waste that is sorted, organic waste that is processed into compost, plastic waste that is processed into plastic seeds, and waste residue that will be transported to the TPA Benowo. Keywords: Waste, TPS 3R, Waste Management
