Abstract
Ocean waters are dynamic waters, which means they will continue to move. The increase in Total Suspended Solid (TSS) in the waters will affect the level of the quality of these waters so that they are unable to support aquatic organisms the. The northern waters of Bangkalan City become the mouth of the river and are full of activity development in Bangkalan City resulted in increased water turbidity which can trigger an increase in TSS levels in these waters. Level increase TSS occurs because of the additional supply of materials from the mainland. Therefore, research is needed on the level of TSS content in the waters north of the City Bangkalan which can later be used as information material for management better and wiser coastal areas there. In this research will comparing 4 algorithms, namely: Syarif Budiman Algorithm (2004), Ety Parwati Algorithm (2006), Guzman & Santaella Algorithm (2009), and Hendrata Wibisana Algorithm (2019). The satellite data used is Landsat imagery 8 years recording 2016-2020. The results of this study can be concluded that the Hendrata Wibisana Algorithm model has the largest correlation value with a value of 0.526 which means it has high level of relationship to the in situ data, therefore this research can become a reference in the next research and map the distribution of Total Suspended Solid (TSS) and to monitor the increase or decrease in Total Suspended Solid (TSS). The results obtained were the largest Total Suspended Solid (TSS) concentration values in 2019 with a value of 46.61 mg/L to 68.45mg/L and the smallest in 2016 with values 23.25 mg/L to 57.51 mg/L. The results of data processing and analysis can be used as reference material in further research. Keywords : Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Landsat 8 Image
