Abstract
The growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia is experiencing rapid development. MSMEs have an important and strategic role in the development of the national economy. Currently, MSMEs are an important part of the country's economy, namely by playing a role in economic growth and employment. Sidoarjo Regency is the regency/city with the highest number of SMEs in East Java. Among the many superior products of SMEs in Sidoarjo district, there is one superior product of SMEs from Sidoarjo Regency, namely the Tanggulangin Bag and Leather Industrial Area. The image of Tanggulangin as a center for the bag and leather industry has made a positive contribution to Sidoarjo district. However, the popularity and sales of Tanggulangin handicraft products are decreasing due to the Lapindo mud disaster. To increase the popularity of leather craft products, the Sidoarjo Regency Government implemented the Tanggulangin Fair program, but due to the location being deemed unattractive, the event which was planned to be held annually was not implemented. This raises the problem of the lack of a facility to promote, introduce and educate this leather craft. From these problems, a representative place or container is needed for promotion, marketing and education that provides information on Tanggulangin leather craft products. The Bags and Leather Gallery will refer to the Experiencing Luxury Craft and use a Contemporary Architecture approach that displays a new form and displays something different so that it can attract visitors to shop. With the Tanggulangin Bag and Leather Gallery, it is hoped that it will increase sales and increase promotion in the wider community.
