Abstract
Poverty is one of the problems of concern in various countries. Poverty is caused by various factors, namely investment levels that are still below standard, high unemployment rates, and slow economic growth. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of economic growth, population, and the open unemployment rate on the poverty rate in the Special Region of Yogyakarta during the period 2006 to 2020. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. (BPS) in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The research method used is a quantitative method using Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Thus, the results obtained simultaneously that economic growth, population, and the open unemployment rate simultaneously affect the Poverty Level, while partially the Economic Growth variable has a negative effect on the Poverty Level in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely the population variable. has a positive effect on the Poverty Rate. in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, and the variable open unemployment rate has a positive effect on the Poverty Rate in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
