Abstract

Agricultural extension workers play a crucial role in enhancing farmers' knowledge, skills, and capabilities in managing their farming operations. However, the limited number of extension workers in Menganti District poses a challenge to the delivery of extension services. With only four extension workers serving 22 villages, each worker is responsible for approximately 4–6 villages, limiting visits to each village to just once or twice a month. This situation potentially affects the frequency of visits, the level of guidance provided, and the equitable distribution of information among farmers. This study aims to analyze the satisfaction level of rice farmers regarding agricultural extension services in Setro Village, Menganti District, Gresik Regency. A quantitative approach was employed, surveying 61 rice farmers selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) based on the five SERVQUAL indicators, namely tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, to measure the level of farmer satisfaction. The results yielded a CSI score of 65.48%, placing satisfaction in the sufficiently satisfied category. The results show that the extension services have come close to being in the satisfactory category, but some aspects still need improvement, especially the frequency of visits and the delivery of agricultural information.
