Abstract
Financial well-being is an important aspect of workers’ lives, yet formal-sector workers in Surabaya still face challenges in achieving financial well-being. This study aims to analyze the contribution of financial attitude and locus of control to financial well-being, with financial behavior serving as a mediating variable among formal-sector workers in Surabaya. This study employs a quantitative descriptive approach using primary data collected via a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 108 formal-sector workers who work and reside in Surabaya, selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS. The results indicate that financial attitude and locus of control do not directly contribute to financial well-being. The contribution of financial attitude and locus of control to financial well-being occurs through financial behavior as a mediating variable.
