Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, perceptions of ease of use, security, and self-efficacy on Generation Z’s interest in using BNI’s Wondr mobile banking service in Surabaya. The background of this study is based on the low adoption rate of BNI’s Wondr, despite the fact that Gen Z is a group of digital natives who are active users of digital financial services. The study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, and the analysis was conducted via Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that financial literacy does not have a significant effect on interest in using the service, suggesting that adopting mobile banking no longer requires a deep understanding of finance. Conversely, perceptions of ease of use, security, and self-efficacy were found to have a positive and significant effect on interest in using the service. These findings confirm that psychological factors and perceptions of technology play a more dominant role in driving mobile banking adoption among Gen Z. The implications of this study underscore the importance of simplifying user interfaces, strengthening security, and boosting users’ confidence in digital technology.
