Abstract

Demand uncertainty at UD Harummania triggers the risk of overstock and stockout due to the absence of a measurable inventory control system. This study aims to optimize inventory control for perfume concentrates and laundry perfume concentrates at UD Harummania using ABC Analysis and Min-Max Stock methods. ABC Analysis is utilized to classify inventory based on sales value, identifying 6 types of perfume concentrates and 4 types of laundry perfume concentrates in Category A as control priorities. Furthermore, the Min-Max Stock method is applied to determine the minimum and maximum inventory limits as well as the optimal order quantity. The results indicate that this method significantly reduces order frequency and safety stock value, while achieving cost efficiencies of 30% for perfume concentrates and 32% for laundry perfume concentrates, respectively. The combination of both methods proves effective in maintaining inventory availability efficiently and preventing overstock and stockout. This study provides strategic recommendations for management to manage inventory in a more structured, adaptive, and sustainable manner.
