Abstract

The increasing employee turnover has become a concern for PT Aishi Tirta Indonusa as it may disrupt operational activities and increase recruitment needs. Over the past three years, the company’s turnover rate has continued to increase. Preliminary observations and a pre-survey indicate issues related to workload, including work targets, demanding tasks, and limited working time, as well as job satisfaction related to compensation and supervision. This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and job satisfaction on employee turnover intention at PT Aishi Tirta Indonusa. The study employed a quantitative approach with an associative-causal design involving all 35 employees through saturated sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, while job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect. Job satisfaction has a stronger influence than workload. These findings provide practical considerations for the company to improve workload management and enhance job satisfaction through improvements in compensation and supervision as efforts to reduce employee turnover intention.
