Abstract
The adoption of cyber notary in electronic notarial services is driven by rapid technological advancements, yet it poses legal challenges regarding information security and personal data protection. This study employs a normative juridical method, utilizing both conceptual and statutory approaches. The research examines the responsibilities of notaries and the legal framework for personal data protection under the Notary Position Act (UUJN) and the Personal Data Protection Act (UU PDP). The findings affirm that notaries bear a legal obligation to protect clients' personal data by adopting secure encrypted electronic systems and employing certified electronic signatures to preserve confidentiality. This study concludes that strengthening regulations alongside cybersecurity measures is an absolute prerequisite to establishing legal certainty within the digital notarial ecosystem.
