Abstract
PT Tiesky Cahaya Mandiri is a general trading company that supplies kitchen utensils and operational equipment to restaurants and hotels in Indonesia. Several stages of its goods delivery process are still performed manually, including checking item availability, matching items with delivery notes, and recapitulating delivery data, which creates risks of recording errors and slow information flow between divisions. This study aimed to describe the current (AS-IS) goods delivery business process, evaluate process risks using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method, and design a proposed (To-Be) business process model using Business Process Improvement (BPI) combined with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) in Bizagi Modeler. The process was mapped into five sub-processes: Delivery Preparation, Goods Preparation, Delivery Execution, Delivery Constraint Handling, and Delivery Confirmation and Completion. The FMEA evaluation identified the five activities with the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) values, which became the improvement priorities at the Streamlining stage, namely an Inventory Information System, a Picking List and Route Code Label, a Delivery Status Monitoring System, a Constraint Handling SOP, and digitalization of data recapitulation. The Time Analysis simulation showed that the proposed improvements reduced the average process completion time by 21.83%, from 1,420.92 minutes to 1,110.68 minutes, with the largest reduction occurring in the Goods Preparation sub-process (29.17%). The proposed To-Be model was proven to have the potential to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the goods delivery process at PT Tiesky Cahaya Mandiri.
