Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Regional Original Revenue, Balancing Funds, and Capital Expenditure on Economic Growth in local governments in East Java Province during the 2021–2024 period. This study was conducted to determine the effect of each independent variable on Economic Growth, both individually and simultaneously. This study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from local government Budget Realization Reports and publications of Gross Regional Domestic Product. The research sample consisted of 32 local governments, resulting in 128 observations during the 2021–2024 period, determined using purposive sampling. Data were collected using documentation techniques. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the assistance of EViews 13, with the Fixed Effect Model selected as the appropriate model. The results show that Regional Original Revenue does not have a significant effect on Economic Growth. Balancing Funds also do not have a significant effect on Economic Growth. Meanwhile, Capital Expenditure has a positive and significant effect on Economic Growth. Simultaneously, Regional Original Revenue, Balancing Funds, and Capital Expenditure have a significant effect on Economic Growth. The Adjusted R² value of 46.9645% indicates that the variables included in the study are able to explain 46.9645% of the variation in Economic Growth, while the remaining variation is explained by other factors outside the research model.
