Abstract
Regional economic development disparity is one of the challenges in achieving balanced development. The North Coast (Pantura) Region of East Java has diverse economic characteristics and levels of development. This study aims to analyze economic growth patterns and the level of regional economic development disparity among regencies and municipalities in the Pantura Region of East Java during 2015–2024. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using secondary data on GRDP, GRDP per capita, and population obtained from Statistics Indonesia. The analysis applies the Klassen Typology and Theil Entropy Index. The Klassen Typology results show that Gresik Regency is classified in Quadrant I; Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency, and Pasuruan Regency in Quadrant II; Tuban and Lamongan Regencies in Quadrant III; while Pasuruan City is classified in Quadrant IV. The Theil Entropy Index indicates that disparity is relatively low and stable, with values ranging from 0.0604 to 0.0634. Region II contributes positively and more substantially to total disparity, while Region I contributes negatively. These results indicate differences in economic development across regions in the Pantura Region of East Java.
