Abstract
This study aims to determine the optimal distribution routes for Starpack Adstar products at PT Kerta Rajasa Raya using the Green Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP) approach within the Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) framework. The research problem arises from the company's non-optimal distribution routes, resulting in excessive travel distance, fuel consumption, distribution operating costs, carbon emissions, and driver distribution workload. This study applies the Sweep Algorithm for customer clustering and the Clarke & Wright Saving Algorithm for distribution route construction. The evaluation is conducted based on the economic aspect through distribution operating costs, including fuel costs, toll costs, and driver costs; the environmental aspect through CO₂ emissions; and the social aspect descriptively based on driver distribution workload as measured by the total distribution travel distance. The results show that the company's existing method generates 8 distribution routes, the Sweep Algorithm generates 5 distribution routes, and the Clarke & Wright Saving Algorithm generates 4 distribution routes. A comparison of the three methods indicates that the Clarke & Wright Saving Algorithm is the most optimal method because it produces more efficient distribution routes, reducing the number of distribution routes from 8 under the company's existing method to 4 routes for Starpack Adstar product deliveries. The implementation of this algorithm results in a total distribution travel distance of 11,250 km per month, fuel consumption of 2,289.75 liters per month, fuel costs of IDR 15,570,300 per month, toll costs of IDR 9,300,000 per month, driver costs remaining at IDR 22,200,000 per month in accordance with the company's policy, carbon emissions of 6,089.19 kg CO₂ per month, and the lowest driver distribution workload compared with the company's existing method and the Sweep Algorithm. Therefore, the implementation of the Clarke & Wright Saving Algorithm within the Green Vehicle Routing Problem (GVRP) approach provides the most optimal distribution routes to support the implementation of Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) at PT Kerta Rajasa Raya by reducing distribution operating costs, vehicle carbon emissions, and driver distribution workload.
