Abstract
The current situation at the faculty building regarding domestic wastewater particularly graywater is that it is discharged directly into the drainage system without any prior treatment, while blackwater is treated only using a septic tank, which has the potential to contaminate groundwater in the event of leaks or seepage. Therefore, to prevent pollution, domestic wastewater must first be treated using a domestic wastewater treatment plant (IPALD). The method used in this study to determine the quality of domestic wastewater was the integrated sampling method, which combines several instantaneous samples, while the hourly flow rate method was used to determine the quantity of domestic wastewater. The observations were conducted from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the academic term and final exam period, while the unit design and domestic wastewater utilization were determined using a binary method. The selection of unit alternatives and utilization options specifically, the unit alternatives used to determine removal efficiency was based on literature, including both books and journals.Based on the methods described, it was found that the quality of domestic wastewater does not meet applicable quality standards except for pH and therefore must undergo treatment before being discharged into the drainage system. With a domestic wastewater flow rate of 20.6 m³/day, the treatment system consists of a primary settling tank, an anaerobic biofilter, dissolved ozone flotation, and a final storage tank, the treated wastewater is intended for sprinkler irrigation covering an area of 1,586.1 m².
