Abstract

The current state of the workforce—which is undergoing a technological revolution and changing rapidly—requires students to possess high levels of self-confidence and mental resilience. In addition, students are also expected to adapt quickly and learn new things rapidly. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, adversity quotient, and learning agility on work readiness among 2022-cohort students at UPN “Veteran” East Java. This study employed a quantitative causal-associative approach through the distribution of questionnaires to 196 active students of the class of 2022 across 7 of the 8 faculties at UPN “Veteran” East Java who had completed or were currently taking the Thesis course. Sampling was conducted using proportionate stratified random sampling, while data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis with the aid of IBM SPSS software, version 27. The results indicate that, collectively, self-efficacy, adversity quotient, and learning agility have a positive and significant effect on work readiness. Additionally, all independent variables individually have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable. The coefficient of determination (R^2) value of 59.1% indicates that the variation in work readiness can be explained by the variables of self-efficacy, adversity quotient, and learning agility. The remaining variation is explained by other factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, these three variables play a crucial role in enhancing students’ work readiness.
