Abstract
The age at transplanting affects growth after being moved, but the effects vary for each variety. This study looked at four transplanting ages (11, 14, 17, and 20 DAS) and four lettuce varieties (Sonybel, Grand Rapids, Green Lettuce, and Red Rapid Lettuce) using the hydroponic NFT system. There was an interaction between transplanting age and variety for all the parameters observed. Sonybel transplanted at 17 DAS produced the highest fresh plant weight (183.00 g) and the heaviest leaves (162.00 g). Grand Rapids at 20 DAS had the tallest plants, Red Rapid Lettuce at 20 DAS had the widest leaves, and Sonybel at 20 DAS had the most leaves. The results show variety-specific responses, so no single transplanting age can be considered optimal for all four cultivars. The highest production was obtained with the combination of 17 DAS transplanting age and Sonybel variety.
