Abstract
Per capita expenditure serves as a key indicator of people's purchasing power. Bogor Regency, as a buffer area for the capital city with the largest population in West Java, in fact records relatively low per capita expenditure compared to other regencies/cities in the province. This study analyzes the effect of inflation, per capita income, and economic growth rate on per capita expenditure in Bogor Regency over the 2011–2024 period, using time series data from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Bogor Regency, processed through multiple linear regression (SPSS version 29). The results show that, partially, only per capita income has a positive and significant effect, even emerging as the most dominant variable, while inflation and economic growth rate have no significant effect, although their coefficient directions are consistent with theory. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on per capita expenditure and are able to explain most of its variation. These findings confirm that increasing people's income needs to be a policy priority to promote regional welfare.
