Abstract

Cassava farmers in Blendis Village still face limited access to cultivation technology, capital, market information, collective marketing, and agribusiness partnerships. These conditions indicate that farmer groups have not fully performed their institutional functions. This study aimed to analyze farmer-group importance and performance, measure farmer satisfaction, and determine priority strategies for institutional strengthening. A quantitative descriptive approach was used involving 62 farmers for Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and nine experts for Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The IPA results identified ten priority attributes related to technology, capital access, market information, collective marketing, bargaining power, and value-added development. Technology adoption showed the largest gap between importance and performance. The CSI value was 71.69%, indicating that farmers were generally satisfied, although several important services remained below expectations. AHP identified market access and agribusiness partnerships as the main criterion, while cultivation and postharvest technology training was the first strategic priority, followed by collective marketing and partnerships. Therefore, farmer groups should provide practical training, distribute market and price information, facilitate access to capital and production inputs, organize collective marketing, and establish partnerships with traders and processors. These actions are required to transform farmer groups into active learning, production-support, and agribusiness institutions. Keywords: AHP, cassava agribusiness, CSI, farmer-group institutions, IPA
