Abstract
Surabaya Animal Feed Agroindustry is one of the leading industries in Indonesia engaged in the manufacture of animal feed which ensures the quality of feed quality from the beginning of the material process to the time of packaging. In the process with the use of chemicals to improve the quality of the resulting product. So it is necessary to identify potential hazards to the application of OH&S Management System in controlling hazardous chemicals in accordance with the application of SMK3 according to PP RI No. 50 of 2012. The research method used is the identification and control of hazards that are adapted to PP RI No. 50 of 2012 concerning the Application of OH&S Management System on the criteria for Control of Hazardous Chemicals in descriptive form. The company has nineteen hazardous chemicals that are used as feed additives and has the application of controlling hazardous chemicals adopting the policy of the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Kep. 187/MEN/1999 concerning Control of Hazardous Chemicals in the Workplace. So it is necessary to prepare for compliance in the application of OH&S Management System. Because, the Company in addition to creating a safe work environment against accidents and occupational diseases and also controlling hazards/risks can be carried out maximally from hazardous chemicals.
