Abstract
Mustard greens (Brassica juncea L. )is a widely consumed vegetable crop due to its high nutritional value and potential health benefits. In Indonesia, mustard greens production reached 688,595 tons in 2024, but decreased to 650,440 tons in 2025, or around 5.5%. This decline indicates the need to increase productivity through efficient cultivation techniques. This study aims to determine the effect of various doses of vermicompost and gibberellic acid (GA3) concentrations, as well as their interactions, on the growth and yield of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). This study was conducted in Darurejo Village, Plandaan District, Jombang Regency, from May to June 2026. This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was the dose of vermicompost (K), which consisted of K0 (control), K1 (75 g/polybag), K2 (100 g/polybag), and K3 (125 g/polybag). The second factor was the concentration of gibberellic acid (G), which consisted of G0 (0 ppm), G1 (50 ppm), G2 (75 ppm), and G3 (100 ppm). Each treatment combination was repeated three times, resulting in 48 experimental units. The parameters observed included the number of leaves, plant height, total fresh weight per plant, and fresh weight of shoots. The results showed a significant interaction between the dose of vermicompost and the concentration of GA3 on all observed parameters. The optimal treatment combination was K2G2 (100 g/polybag of vermicompost and 75 ppm of GA3), which resulted in a total fresh weight per plant of 63.44 g and a fresh weight of shoots of 58.11 g. Individually, the application of 100 g/polybag of vermicompost and 75 ppm of gibberellic acid had a significant effect on the growth and yield of mustard greens compared to other treatment levels.
