Abstract
This internship report presents an overview of the production processes and utility systems at PT Petrokimia Gresik, particularly within the Production Department III B. It describes the manufacturing of key products such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, aluminum fluoride (AlF₃), and demineralized water, emphasizing process operations, equipment, quality control, and environmental management. The report also highlights the AlF₃ production process, including reaction, crystallization, calcination, cooling, packaging, and gas scrubbing, while discussing process parameters, product specifications, and waste treatment practices. Overall, the internship provided practical insight into large-scale chemical plant operations, process optimization, industrial safety, and environmental sustainability in the fertilizer and chemical manufacturing industry.
