Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengumuman right issue dan stock split terhadap reaksi investor. Studi kasus pada penelitian ini adalah saham yang masuk dalam kategori blue chip di Bursa Efek Indonesia yang melakukan right issue dan stock split selama periode tahun 2001-2015. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengumuman right issue dan stock split terhadap tingkat keuntungan dan volume perdagangan saham dilakukan menghitung cumulative abnormal return dan rata-rata trading volume activity saham pada 5 hari sebelum dan 5 hari sesudah pengumuman right issue maupun stock split, dan juga untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi pasar. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini, pengumuman sebelum dan sesudah right issue maupun stock split tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap abnormal return yang menggambarkan efisiensi pasar setengah kuat (semi strong form). Dan rata-rata volume perdagangan saham menjadi lebih tinggi setelah pengumuman right issue maupun stock split. Kata Kunci : right issue, stock split, abnormal return, TVA, blue chip
