Abstract
The development of academic activities in higher education demands the availability of large-capacity and highly flexible spaces to support various academic and institutional activities. The Integrated Lecture Building of IAIN Kudus, originally planned as a 6-story building, was modified into a 10-story building featuring a 20-meter column-free hall. This long span leads to increased bending moments and deflections, necessitating the implementation of a post-tensioned cast-in-situ prestressed concrete beam system. This study aims to analyze the Beam-Column Joints (BCJ), calculate prestress losses, determine the anchorage system, evaluate the Partial Prestressing Ratio (PPR), and assess structural performance through pushover analysis based on SNI 1726:2019 and ATC-40 guidelines using SAP2000 software. The results indicate that the prestressed beams function compatibly with other structural elements, satisfying the strong column–weak beam concept with the initial yielding mechanism occurring in the beams. The BCJ analysis across all interior and exterior joints meets the requirements, with joint shear forces (V_e) ranging from 186,082.14 N to 4,839,606.63 N, remaining well below the nominal shear strength (V_n) of 7,452,140 N to 9,736,860 N. The total prestress loss is 28.30%, comprising immediate losses (anchor slip, friction, and column restraint) at 11.56% and time-dependent losses (creep, shrinkage, and steel relaxation) at 16.73%. The anchorage system utilizes VSL Stressing Anchorage Type Sc at the live end and VSL Dead End Anchorage at the dead end, incorporating 20 strands with a diameter of 15.2 mm. A PPR value of 38% classifies the beam under the partial prestressed concrete category. Furthermore, the pushover analysis reveals that the structure achieves an Immediate Occupancy (IO) performance level, with drift ratios of 0.012 in the X-direction and 0.013 in the Y-direction, alongside ductility values of 6.83 in the X-direction and 6.30 in the Y-direction. Based on these findings, the building structure is deemed capable of delivering sound performance against both gravity and seismic loads.
