Abstract
This study aims to examine the impact of fintech adoption and financial management on the business sustainability of MSMEs in Surabaya. It focuses on the extent to which digital technology and financial management can support long-term business sustainability. This research employs an explanatory design with a quantitative approach. The study population consists of MSMEs in Surabaya operating in the food and beverage, retail, and fashion sectors. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using the simple random sampling method. The study utilizes a cross-sectional approach based on primary data collected via online questionnaires (Google Forms). Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with SmartPLS 4.1.1.8 software. The results indicate that fintech adoption and financial management have a significant positive effect on business sustainability. This suggests that the practical application of financial technology can enhance operational efficiency and strengthen business competitiveness in the digital era. Meanwhile, financial management—acting as an internal resource—enables business owners to monitor their business progress through concrete actions such as financial planning and the preparation of financial statements, thereby influencing business sustainability.
