Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of eco-enzyme concentration and M4 mutant accession diversity on the growth and yield components of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). The experiment was conducted in Pasirhajo Village, Talun, Blitar, December 2024-July 2025, using a Split Plot Design with three replications. The main plot factor was eco-enzyme concentration (E0=0, E1=10, E2=20, E3=30 ml/L) and the subplot factor comprised five M4 mutant accessions (V2, V6, V7, V8, V9). Data were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Tukey HSD at 5% significance. Results showed that eco-enzyme concentration had a highly significant effect (p<0.01) on all parameters except plant height. Accession had a highly significant effect on all parameters. E×A interaction was significant for all yield components. The optimum concentration was 20 ml/L. Accession V8 consistently excelled with 151,00 fruits/plant and fruit weight of 181,20 g/plant. Combination E2A4 (20 ml/L + V8) was the most efficient treatment. Keywords: eco-enzyme, growth components, M4 mutant accession, cayenne pepper, yield
