Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial ratios on Financial Distress and to examine the differences in financial conditions between digital banks and conventional banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021-2024 period. The financial ratios employed include Risk Profile, proxied by Non-Performing Loan (NPL); Good Corporate Governance (GCG); Earnings, proxied by Return on Assets (ROA); and Capital, proxied by Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR). This research adopts a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative methods. The sample consists of 44 banking companies selected through a purposive sampling technique. The study utilizes secondary data obtained from the companies' annual reports, which are analyzed using binary logistic regression and the independent samples t-test. The results indicate that Risk Profile, Earnings, and Capital have a significant effect on Financial Distress, whereas Good Corporate Governance (GCG) does not have a significant effect on Financial Distress. Furthermore, there are significant differences in GCG, Earnings, and Capital between digital banks and conventional banks, while Risk Profile and Financial Distress do not differ significantly between the two groups. The findings are expected to provide useful references for banking companies, investors, and future researchers in assessing the likelihood of Financial Distress
