Abstract
This study is motivated by consumer reviews of Sambal Terasi Siap Pakai Uleg “FINNA,” which indicate dissatisfaction with taste quality, flavor, and doubts regarding product authenticity. These conditions raise questions about how perceived quality and brand authenticity influence repurchase intention through brand loyalty amid the wide availability of competing products. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived quality and brand authenticity on repurchase intention through brand loyalty. The research was conducted from November to April 2026 in East Java using a purposive sampling method, involving 102 respondents who are consumers of Sambal Terasi Siap Pakai Uleg “FINNA.” Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) and analyzed using descriptive analysis and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that perceived quality does not have a direct effect on repurchase intention, indicating that the quality perceived by consumers has not been able to directly encourage repeat purchase decisions. Similarly, brand authenticity does not directly influence repurchase intention, suggesting that consumers’ perceptions of brand authenticity are not sufficient to drive repurchase behavior. However, perceived quality and brand authenticity have an indirect effect on repurchase intention through brand loyalty as a significant mediating variable, where positive perceptions of quality and authenticity can enhance repurchase intention when they successfully build consumer loyalty toward Sambal Terasi Siap Pakai Uleg “FINNA.” Keywords: Consumer Behavior, Food Industry, Purchase Intention
