Abstract
Solidarity plays a crucial role in the existence of a group as well as in a social environment. This study aims to analyse the role of group communication in fostering solidity and solidarity within the Pemuda Berkain Community. This community is interesting to examine because it brings together young people from diverse backgrounds to preserve traditional Indonesian textiles, known as wastra, without relying on rigid membership structures or formal communication rules. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the chairperson, vice- chairperson, secretary, and two members, supported by observation and documentation. The data were analysed through the stages of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that group communication functions as a medium for activity coordination, strengthening emotional bonds, conflict resolution, cultural education, and social support among members. Communication takes place informally and flexibly through face-to-face meetings, WhatsApp Groups, Zoom or Google Meet, Instagram, and community activities. Solidity is formed Togetherness, moral values, and rituals., while solidarity is reflected in mutual cooperation, helping one another, collaboration, and a sense of brotherhood.
