Abstract
MAYA ARIESKA DINDA SEPTIANI, 18042010143, Business Development Strategy Based on Product Life Cycle (PLC) Concept and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix (Case Study of Batik Very Jelita Batam) Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is an important sector because it is an activity carried out by the government to help the economy of people who want to open small businesses in the traditional and modern sectors. Batik Very Jelita Batam business needs to know the stages and position of its current business in order to get a new business strategy and increase sales based on the concept of Product Life Cycle (PLC) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix The method used in this research is descriptive. Data collection techniques which is done through observation and documentation. The type and source of this research data is secondary data. The results show that the Product Life Cycle (PLC) curve is at a growth stage, namely the stage where the product introduced is already known and acceptable to consumers. Meanwhile, on the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix, the Matrix is in a question mark position, which is a relatively low market share position, but competitive and a fast-growing industry. The discussion of this research resulted in the concept of Product Life Cycle (PLC), namely, product strategy, price strategy, and marketing strategy. Meanwhile, at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix produces strategies for market penetration, market development, and product development.
