Abstract
Student attendance and attendance management are important aspects of supporting the effectiveness of teaching and learning activities in schools, including at SLB YP Peduli Anak Nagari. However, the student attendance recording process at this school is still carried out manually, making it prone to recording errors and requiring more time for data management. Therefore, a web-based attendance information system was developed to replace the manual method with a more integrated, efficient, and accurate system. The primary objective of this system development is to provide a digital solution that assists the school in recording and managing student attendance data systematically. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. It includes several key features, such as digital student attendance recording by teachers, student and teacher data management by administrators, student attendance statistics, and the generation of attendance reports that can be downloaded in Excel format for specific periods. The result of this development is a website that facilitates the management of student attendance data at SLB YP Peduli Anak Nagari. Through the available features, the system improves the efficiency and accuracy of the attendance recording process. In addition, it supports the generation of attendance reports that can be used by the school for evaluation purposes. The implementation of this system is expected to assist SLB YP Peduli Anak Nagari in recording student attendance more efficiently and accurately, while also serving as an initial step toward the digitalization of school management. In the future, the system may be further developed by adding new features, such as access for students and parents, as well as integration with other platforms, including online learning systems.
