Abstract
The advancement of the digital era allows each individual to have a voice that can be disseminated independently. As a respected musician, Hindia, on the @wordfangs account, is involved in distributing information, news, and indirectly educating her followers on social media to continue actively expressing opinions and being critical. This study aimed to determine the form of digital activism discourse among musicians on the @wordfangs account on social media platform X (the Issue of the Policy on Increasing Allowances for Members of the House of Representatives). This research was conducted using qualitative methods and a descriptive approach. Rodney Jones's Digital Discourse Analysis divides the analysis into four elements: Text, Context, Action & Reaction, Ideology, and Power. The theories used in this study are Zizi Papacharissi's Virtual Public Sphere and Bennett and Segerberg's Connective Action Theory. The analysis shows that @wordfangs engages in digital activism with three distinct identities, but Hindia's identity as a musician is not dominant. The digital activism carried out by @wordfangs refers to criticizing the government and supporting public participation in political awareness. Social media X serves as a forum for discussion in accordance with the characteristics of the Virtual Public Sphere, and there is the involvement of connective actions by other X users who support @wordfangs' digital activism.
