Abstract
Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is a system used by organizations to manage employee data and administrative processes in an integrated manner. However, many HRIS platforms are still website-based and have not been optimized for mobile devices, causing issues in interface display, navigation, and usage efficiency. This study aims to design the user interface and user experience (UI/UX) of a mobile HRIS application that meets user needs using the User Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD method consists of four stages: Understand Context of Use, Specify User Requirements, Design Solutions, and Evaluate Against Requirements. The design process involved users through interviews, requirement analysis, and the development of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma. Testing was conducted with users at PT Mahaghora through Think Aloud, System Usability Scale (SUS), and Heuristic Evaluation. The usability testing results showed an effectiveness value of 94.2% for admin users, an efficiency value of 85.74% for employee users, and SUS scores of 76 for admins and 88.5 for employees. In addition, the Heuristic Evaluation produced 47 findings that served as the basis for design improvements. The result of this study is a responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly mobile HRIS UI/UX design. Therefore, the UCD method is able to produce an interface design that meets user needs and supports improvements in the effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction of mobile-based HRIS usage.
