Abstract

The advancement of technology has encouraged various industrial sectors to undergo transformation, including the plantation industry, which involves complex and geographically dispersed operational processes. Manual data management in plantation operations is not only prone to recording errors but also hinders efficiency and transparency. Therefore, PT Greatsoft Solusi Indonesia was assigned to develop a mobile application specifically designed as a plantation information system. The application aims to provide an intuitive and functional user interface that simplifies field data entry while improving the accuracy and speed of operational information processing. The method used in this project involves designing and developing a mobile application interface using the Flutter framework. The author served as a frontend developer, starting from designing the UI in Figma to implementing it into application pages. The backend was handled separately by the company’s internal team. As a result, several pages were completed on the frontend but could not be fully tested due to the ongoing integration process with the backend. This occurred because the development team was not working on a single project, but had to divide their time and resources across multiple projects simultaneously. This condition caused certain parts of the project to progress at different speeds. Nevertheless, coordination was maintained to ensure consistency between the interface and data flow. Based on the outcomes, the application development progressed according to the defined scope and objectives during the internship period. All tasks assigned to the author were successfully completed, and several features were tested directly by end-users. The application continues to be refined over time, based on feedback from the QA team and stakeholders. Therefore, it is recommended that frontend and backend integration be improved through tighter team coordination. Additionally, the company is encouraged to allocate resources proportionally so that the development team is not overwhelmed by other projects, ensuring the application can continue progressing steadily toward full implementation.
