Abstract
Learning Management Systems (LMS) has become an essential part of learning in higher education. LMS is utilized in various ways, ranging from delivering course materials and assessing learning outcomes to supporting collaboration. This variation indicates that lecturers' perceptions and strategies in using LMS need to be understood in greater depth. This study employs a qualitative case study approach to explore the perceptions and strategies of lecturers in the Information Systems Study Program at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur in utilizing LMS. The theoretical frameworks used as interpretive lenses in this study are the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which focuses on the dimensions of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use, and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), which is used to interpret how informants integrate technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with six lecturers and analyzed using deductive content analysis with the assistance of NVivo 15 software. The results show that most informants relied more on features supporting material delivery and learning assessment than on features supporting learning interaction. This pattern was driven by informants' perceptions of the ease of use and usefulness of these features. Furthermore, differences in perceptions of LMS utilization were also reflected in the informants' strategies for combining technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge according to the characteristics of the courses they taught and the classroom conditions they faced. Senior informants perceived ease of use through function-based menu grouping, which helped reduce administrative workload, while junior informants leveraged increased storage capacity to enrich learning resource references. These findings can serve as a basis for institutions in designing digital training programs and developing LMS user guides tailored to lecturers' needs in the field.
