Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged higher education institutions to utilize academic data as a basis for effective decision-making. However, academic data are often distributed across multiple operational systems, making integrated analysis difficult. This study aims to develop a Business Intelligence system based on a data warehouse to support the analysis of student academic and lecturer performance data at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The system was developed using the Kimball Nine-Step Methodology for data warehouse design and the Waterfall method for application development. Data were collected from the Academic Information System (SIAKAD), SILATURAHMI, and the Lecturer Performance Application (APP Kinerja Dosen). Data integration was performed through the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process using Pentaho Data Integration and stored in a PostgreSQL data warehouse. Multidimensional analysis was implemented using the Mondrian OLAP Server, while data visualization was provided through Metabase dashboards and a web application developed with Laravel and Next.js. The results show that the system successfully integrated academic data into a data warehouse consisting of three fact tables and nine dimension tables. The system supports multidimensional analysis through drill-down and roll-up operations. Testing results indicate that all system functionalities operated as expected, data quality met the accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, and consistency criteria, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) achieved a user acceptance score of 87.78%. The developed system supports monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision-making at UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur.
